August Concert

I am fortunate to be very good friends(and unofficial family) with a local muscian who's having a concert next month to kick off their 2nd album, "Rising". I have had the opportunity to hear this album as well as see its progression from idea to final product and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I strongly reccommend you to visit their SITE and read their bio.

The concert will be held on August 20, 2010 at 9pm and tickets are $15 in advance.

Also, I will be making photographs at the concert as well. Call or email for your tickets and don't forget to stop by and have your portrait taken!

Jacqueline + Larry

What a day this would be! It's always a pleasure to find a couple that seems to be so in sync with each other from beginning to end and seem to be so comfortable with each other! They laughed and touched throughout the evening and all the way until the very end.

My day started by capturing the details, and what superb details they were!

The bridesmaids were all very helpful in this image as they eagerly prepared for the big day.

This was simply an anticipation image where the girls waited patiently for the sounds and cue to march down the aisle.

This image needs no explanation at all because it speaks for itself. This bride was confident and ready for a wedding!

When I captured this series of images, I was amazed at the final results. I find them to be spontaneous yet calculated. They may have even practiced these moves ahead of time because Larry was so light on his feet and the crowd cheered them on and deservedly so because they looked GREAT.

Every bride deserves to have her husband take a knee just one last time.

This image shows what I set out to communicate in my final thoughts of this day. Love.

I always try to exit the wedding venue after the party has begun to dwindle so we can explore other terrific ideas and scenes. This was a fun scene later in the day as we were really in relax mode.

One final image before we would call it an evening. This was another fun shot that lended itself to a very romantic portrait and I think we would all agree that it was appropriate to end the day.

Thanks to the happy couple for the opportunity and congrats on your new life together!

Jacqueline Bridal

I'm glad that Jacqueline had chosen the location that she did simply because it offers clear views of the sky and the waterfall is gorgeous! I knew it would be a scorcher having to photograph in the late June heat so I made sure to get my fluid intake above normal and for me, that only needs to be one glass of water. I arrived at the location armed and ready to shoot, but I suppose I underestimated the heat that this day would bring! Maybe I should have brought along that second bottle of water with me and another for the road.
I arrived just a few minutes early to scout the area and get ideas that I hadn't used before and the results showed that and extra few minutes would prove to be well worth it.

Jacqueline arrived with an entourage of family and friends to support her in her exciting(but hot) portrait session. I want to thank that group for being so helpful and excited despite the blazing temperatures and the sheer length of time spent to create these portraits.

As I mentioned earlier, this place is wonderful for portraits especially in the late evening and early morning hours because the sky comes alive with color and shapes! Maybe this balances out the heat index :)

From the environmental to the close ups, it was a ton of fun to create these exciting portraits and I look forward to the wedding day to have, yet another opportunity, to work with such a cooperative bunch.

Okay, okay, so I do actually create an occasional traditional portrait or two. While NYT prides itself on pulling away from the masses, that traditional portrait is still among the most requested portraits that are created.

This was definitely one of my fav's! All of the elements just came together so nicely here and Jacqueline does a fantastic job of following "hand signal" direction. :))

If you know anything about photography, I'm sure you're complaining about the rule that's broken here. Let's focus more on the actual image rather than the rules because this is definitely another of my absolute fav's. We made a great team, Jacqueline, so let's do this again really soon!
