Kimberly + Lamont

When I met Kimberly over the phone just a short time ago, I had a certain feeling about her positive spirit. I mentioned to her that she had a radient smile and a laugh that could cure any downed spirit. Well this wonderful attitude was experienced in person for her e-session! What a couple! The positive energy that was exerted was extremely a spirit lifter as we made our way around our selected location.

The sprinkles of rain sure helped to bring down the temperature of this blistering evening and we made the absolute best of the day.

As the day progressed, it was so amazing to see the sky transform right before our eyes. As I peered through the viewfinder, I could see that drab sky begin to fill with splashes of color.

I thought the photos turned out so wonderful that I really would like to share the entire gallery with you but only the couple can make that call so enjoy!

Tameka + Tim Wedding Day

This would be my first wedding at this particular church so the first thing to do was to capture this beautiful building! I was not there long before Tameka would arrive with a few other members of the family and we greeted each other as if we were long lost friends.

The stage was set and the atmosphere was just perfect and so were all the members of the bridal party! I tell you these guys and ladies were actually one of the highlights of the evening simnply because they were able to make the day so enjoyable and fun. I was able to capture many images of the bridal party before the start of the ceremony and that relationship lasted well into the rest of the evening.

Now as the couple exchanged vows, this would be very special for anyone in attendance because of the powerful words along with the creative lighting that set the stage for a sacred ritual such as this. When it became time to say "I do", you could look around the church and see tears of joy, admiration among many, and all hands together to celebrate this unity.

Once the reception had gotten underway and the food deliciously atop the tables, it was a treat for the eyes!

Congrats to the newlyweds! I had a good time and a much needed distraction from my own reality.

Prayers and support

Some of you may already know about my recent tragedy and I thank you
for your thoughts and prayers. The verdict of recent sessions and/or
events is unknown and will be unknown until investigations are
completed. If your session has already been posted online, there is a
great chance that all image files are safe however if sessions have
not been posted, I ask for your patience until after investigations
are completed.

No upcoming events will be cancelled and we will continue as scheduled
with those.

Arnita is hospitalized in GA and her prognosis is still unknown so I
ask that you all keep her in your prayers and remain hopefull that she
will recover in a speedy fashion.

God bless and thank you all again

Erin + Ernest Wedding Day

This day was to be one of many wet days this week, but from the expressions seen on many of the faces last night, you could never tell the difference. The day began with a few images taken of the wedding venue and one of the premiere hotels in the Jackson area.

I was very anxious to get the day going because I remembered the faces of Ernest + Erin when I photographed their E- Session several weeks ago. Today would prove no different than the last session as it was apparent that these two were in love.

The guys were so relaxed and unusually comfortable in front of the camera which made my job so much easier! It was if we had all done this before and took time out to practice our moves before the actual event.

I have included just a small sample of the day's favs for me. Enjoy and stay tuned for much more from this wedding a little later on.

Congrats to the newlyweds!!

new site

I realize it's been a while since I've posted and with things so busy lately,it seems almost impossible to find the time! I've had the opportunity to photograph more fun couples and I can't wait to post some of the images I've created. I've also been working on a new site and just when I thought I knew a little about html, I realized how little I actually did know! If you don't know the term html, trust me, it takes forever to master. Html is simply computer language. Computers aren't, by any means, close to humans and neither is their language. My new site requires some html language for it to function properly and display what I want it to display the way I want it to. For now it's up and running, but not necessarily the way I had in mind so any pc guru's out there? You can visit my new site at www.arussellphotography.com. Visit and post comments! This is where all online orders will be placed so all new clients will get to know it very well. :)
